Sidecar is the new podcast project of Gran Sasso Science Institute published on the most common distribution platforms such as Apple Podcast, Spotify, Google Podcast. In each episode a GSSI researcher meets an expert from different discipline to discuss on current issues about culture and science. On June 4, Pierluigi Crescenzi will meet Raffaella Rumiati, professor of cognitive neuroscience at the International School for Advanced Studies. The podcast is available at Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Google Podcasts.
The GSSI will participate in the Leonardo Film Festival, a program created by the L’Aquila Film Festival. Six days (22-28 May) of workshops and public screenings on science, art, artificial intelligence, robotics for young students and university students in the cities of L’Aquila, Avezzano, Sulmona, Pescara and Terni. A rich and varied program with the interventions of numerous professors, scientists and artists from the University of L’Aquila, the GSSI, the National Laboratories of Nuclear Physics, the TSA and the Istess of Terni. The physicist Francesco Vissani, the mathematician Pierangelo Marcati, and the computer scientist Pierluigi Crescenzi will participate for the GSSI.
The Gran Sasso Science Institute offers 8 PhD scholarships in Computer Science. The official language for all PhD courses is English. The scholarships are awarded for 4 years and their yearly amount is € 16,159.91 gross. All PhD students will have free accommodation at the GSSI facilities and use of the canteen.
